Six touchdowns. 487 total yards. Gillette Stadium was absolutely rocking, and this team fed off every ounce of that energy.
The running game was an unstoppable force all afternoon. 178 yards on the ground, gashing Carolina between the tackles and bouncing outside with authority. The offensive line opened up craters, and the backs ran with a physicality that set the tone for the entire game. When you can run the ball like that, everything else opens up.
Drake Maye was ruthlessly efficient, picking apart a Carolina secondary that had no answer for the play-action game. He didn't need to be a superhero — the running game did the heavy lifting — but when he did throw, he was surgical. The 9-for-14 conversion rate on third downs tells you everything about how well this offense operated as a unit.
Defensively, it was a smothering performance. Carolina's offense went nowhere all day, and the second-half reserves got valuable reps as the starters watched from the sideline with the game well in hand. This is the kind of complete, four-quarter dominance that builds confidence heading into the meat of the schedule.
