Seven in a row. SEVEN. If you told me back in September that this team would be riding a seven-game winning streak into mid-November, I would have asked what you were putting in your Dunkin' coffee. But here we are, and the Patriots just walked into Raymond James Stadium and took down Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers 28-23 in a game that never felt in doubt.
Drake Maye was absolutely surgical today. The kid threw for 298 yards as part of a 389-yard total offensive output, and he made throws that had the Tampa secondary looking lost. Four touchdowns. FOUR. On the road. Against a defense that came in allowing fewer than 20 points per game. Maye is playing like an MVP candidate right now and I'm not even slightly exaggerating. The confidence in the pocket, the decision-making, the clutch third-down conversions — he went 6-for-12 on third down and every single one of those felt like it came at the exact right moment.
This team has become road warriors. Five of these seven wins have come away from Gillette, and they're not just scraping by — they're imposing their will on opposing stadiums. The offensive line gave Maye time all afternoon, and the skill players are starting to develop real chemistry.
Let the rest of the league keep sleeping on us. Let the talking heads keep calling this a fluke. This team is legit, the quarterback is a star, and Foxborough is going to be rocking when we get home. Seven and counting, Pats Nation.
