Hunter Henry gives you a proven pass-catching weapon. The defensive line—Barmore, Godchaux, Landry—has legitimate pass rush upside. We have the building blocks. What we don't have is the receiver room to maximize them, and that's the kill shot. You can't ask a second-year QB to win games with DeMario Douglas as your WR1. It's unfair and it's wasteful.

Alec Pierce makes sense as a slot-and-flex target in the $12-15M range. He's the kind of complementary piece that doesn't break the bank but adds functional depth. But let's be honest—that's plan B thinking. If we're truly committing to 2026 as the year, we need to be aggressive. The A.J. Brown conversation shouldn't be off the table. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's a trade that requires giving up draft capital. But we're not rebuilding. Vrabel is here to win now. That's the entire point of his hire.

The offensive line needs attention too. Mike Onwenu is solid, but we can't afford another year of marginal play up front. And edge rush depth beyond Landry remains thin. This isn't complicated roster construction—it's about making the hard trades and spending the money when the window is this narrow and your quarterback is this ready.

We've spent the last two years in purgatory. Not bad enough to tank. Not good enough to matter. That ends this offseason, or it doesn't. Vrabel knows what winning looks like. Wolf has shown he's willing to be aggressive. The question is whether management is ready to write the checks. Because Drake Maye won't wait forever.
