Day 4 of Patriots training camp just handed us the clearest picture yet of what the wide receiver rotation looks like under Mike Vrabel's system. A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, and DeMario Douglas are the top three—and it's not particularly close. Kayshon Boutte is mixing in at X receiver, which tells you everything about where the depth chart sits right now. This isn't mystery box stuff anymore. These four are the guys.

The defensive line is where things get interesting, though. Elijah Ponder, Bradyn Swinson, and Cory Durden are notching sacks consistently enough that the coaching staff is clearly rotating them through and evaluating. That's a competitive group fighting for snaps, which is exactly what you want to see in July. You're not seeing one guy dominating; you're seeing depth that can actually pressure the quarterback.

Here's what stands out to me: Hunter Henry and Rhamondre Stevenson connecting on long catches from Drake Maye is the kind of development that matters. Those two are your safety valve guys, your move-the-chains weapons underneath. If Maye can trust them early and often, it opens up everything else vertically. And then there's rookie Eli Raridon—three catches from Tommy DeVito in camp shows he's progressing faster than typical Day 2 tight end development. That's real depth building at a position that matters.

Tanner Arkin getting first-team reps on the offensive line is worth monitoring. You don't get that kind of opportunity in camp unless the coaching staff sees something worth developing. And Christian Elliss in pass breakup drills tells us the secondary group is at least competitive with the receivers right now, which you need to see for the defense to actually function.

Day 4 reveals: the WR room has its hierarchy, the D-line is fighting hard for jobs, and Maye's got weapons that can actually execute underneath. That's not flashy. But it's foundational.
