Diggs was brought in as a veteran presence for the Super Bowl run, and he delivered in that role. But at that cap number? The math simply doesn't work for a team with bigger needs to address. The expectation across the league is that Diggs will either be released or asked to take a significant restructure.
Releasing Diggs would free up substantial cap space that could be redirected toward re-signing K'Lavon Chaisson, locking up Christian Gonzalez, or pursuing free agent targets.
